Product Care

Objena client notes
Reviewed August 2026

Care begins with the exact material and finish—not a universal cleaning product. The maker’s current instructions take priority where they are supplied with the piece.

Everyday care

Start with less.

  • Dust with a clean, soft cloth and remove spills promptly.
  • Test any product in an inconspicuous area before wider use.
  • Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents and unapproved oils or polishes.
  • Protect furniture from standing water, direct heat and prolonged intense sun.
  • Lift objects rather than dragging them across finished surfaces.

Materials

Different surfaces, different expectations.

Solid timber & veneer

Use a barely damp cloth followed by a dry one. Timber moves with humidity and changes colour with light. Only use oils or soaps specified for the exact finish.

Metal & aluminium

Use a soft cloth and mild, pH-neutral solution where the maker permits. Avoid metal polish on anodised, painted, patinated or powder-coated finishes.

Stone & marble

Blot spills immediately, especially acids and oils. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners. Natural veining and tonal variation are expected.

Leather & upholstery

Vacuum gently with the appropriate attachment and follow the textile or leather specification. Do not saturate or spot-treat with an unverified product.

Long life

Repair before replacement.

Keep your order record, finish name and product documents. If a component loosens, a surface is damaged or care instructions are missing, contact Objena before attempting a structural repair. We will check the maker’s current service and parts position.
