Warranty & Claims

Objena client notes
Reviewed August 2026

A maker’s warranty is useful evidence and service support. It is additional to—not a replacement for—the consumer guarantees that apply under Australian Consumer Law.

The coverage record

What applies to your piece.

Warranty periods and conditions vary by maker, product, material and use. Objena records the available manufacturer warranty with the product documentation or order record. If a warranty document conflicts with rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law, those legal rights continue to apply.

Usually needed

Order number, purchase date, product and finish, installation context, a description of the concern, and clear photographs or video.

Not automatically a defect

Expected grain, veining, colour variation and gradual patina may be material characteristics. We assess the actual piece and its maker care record before reaching a view.

The process

Objena remains your first contact.

  1. Send the claim information to hello@objena.com.
  2. We acknowledge the record and request only the evidence needed to assess it.
  3. We consult the maker, service partner or carrier where relevant.
  4. We explain the proposed remedy, responsibilities and timing in writing.

Do not arrange an unapproved repair before assessment unless urgent action is reasonably needed to prevent damage or injury. Unauthorised work can make the cause harder to establish.

Claims
