Objena client notes
Reviewed August 2026

A fair process starts by separating a change of mind from a product fault. Nothing on this page excludes the consumer guarantees and remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.

When something is wrong.

Objena is the first contact for a piece bought from us. Please provide your order number, a clear description and photographs where helpful. We will assess the issue with you and coordinate with the maker or carrier without sending you away to solve it alone.

Major problem

Where the product has a major problem under Australian Consumer Law, you may choose a refund or replacement. You may also keep the product and seek compensation for the reduction in value.

Minor problem

Where the problem is minor, the business can choose to provide a free repair within a reasonable time. If it cannot, other remedies may become available.

Reporting delivery damage as soon as practical—ideally within 48 hours—helps preserve packaging and carrier evidence. This request does not remove or shorten any Australian Consumer Law right.

Change of mind

Stocked pieces only.

For a confirmed stocked piece, contact us within 14 days of delivery. The piece must be unused, unassembled where supplied unassembled, in resalable condition and returned with original packaging. Return freight and any specialist handling are the customer’s responsibility. We confirm the return route before anything is sent.

Made-to-order, customised, imported-to-order, clearance and final-sale pieces are not accepted for change of mind unless Objena agrees otherwise in writing. This does not affect remedies for a fault, misdescription or other failure covered by Australian Consumer Law.

How to begin

One record, from first message.

  1. Email hello@objena.com with your order number.
  2. Describe the issue or reason for return and include photographs where relevant.
  3. Keep the piece and packaging until we confirm the next step.
  4. Do not send furniture to an unconfirmed address; large-piece returns require a planned carrier.
