The range is a lesson in how form follows the technology and mood of its moment: brass and rattan give way to enamelled steel, then to the adjustable, almost interactive fixtures of the 1970s.

Made to the originals

A lamp is a precise object — the balance of a tripod, the exact radius of a shade, the weight of a base. GUBI reissues each from the original specifications, which is why a Gräshoppa stands the way Grossman intended rather than approximately so.

That accuracy is what an original piece guarantees and a lookalike cannot. With lighting especially, small deviations read immediately: the wrong proportion turns an icon into an impostor.
