Objena chose Serge Mouille for rooms that need one decisive line rather than several decorative lights. The work offers Australian clients a clear case where authorship, proportion, metalwork and the direction of light are inseparable.
Study the armature and the light together. The insect-like shades, long arms and counterweights are not styling applied to a lamp; they determine how a small source reaches across a room and how the object occupies space when switched off.

01 How did Serge Mouille arrive at lighting design?
Mouille studied metallurgy and silversmithing in Paris, later taught applied arts and ran a metalworking studio. In 1953 Jacques Adnet engaged him to design lighting, beginning the sculptural lamp work associated with his name.

Les Editions Serge Mouille has held the rights to make the authentic lamps since 1999. The editions follow the original measurements and materials and are made entirely by skilled artisans.

The official maker states that every lamp is stamped, individually numbered and supplied with a certificate of origin. Certificates have been signed by Gin Mouille, Claude Delpiroux and, since 2016, Didier Delpiroux.
